Manage your organization profile and employee data for commuting calculations

Company Details

The Company Details page lets you manage your organization's core information. This data is used throughout the platform for reporting and calculations.

Key fields include your company name, industry sector, fiscal year, reporting period, base year, and business address. Keeping these details accurate ensures your reports and benchmarks are properly configured.

Managing Employees

You can add employees individually or import them in bulk:

  • Add individually — Click "Add Employee" and fill in details such as name, email, office location, commute distance, and commute mode (car, public transit, cycling, etc.)

  • Bulk import — Upload a CSV file with employee commute data. Download the template from the import page to ensure correct formatting.

Employee Commute Data

For each employee, CarbonHound tracks:

  • Commute distance — One-way distance from home to office

  • Commute mode — How the employee gets to work (e.g., gasoline car, electric vehicle, bus, train, bicycle, work from home)

  • Work schedule — Number of days per week in office vs. remote

This data feeds into your Scope 3 emissions calculations automatically. You can also use CarbonHound Connect to send surveys to employees to collect their commute data directly.
