Welcome to your initiatives! We have created initiatives to help you and your team reach your reduction targets.

Creating templates from the initiatives library

Looking for inspiration? Look at our initiatives library through the initiatives tab to find initiatives that like-minded companies have implemented with strong results. Click on the template and click "use template" to start your journey.

Creating a custom initiative

Navigate to Initiatives and then click create custom initiative.

Initiative title: Choose something that is specific to the location or nature of the project

Status:

  • Draft: Will not count towards savings metrics - great for keeping track of ideas

  • Planning: Projects that are slated for the future

  • In Progress: Projects that are currently being implemented

  • Completed: Implementation is complete and you want to track the outcomes, counts towards your saving metrics

Initiative description

  • What are the relevant details around this project?

Start/End date

  • When are you thinking of implementing the project?

Estimated Savings

  • Put the expected % emission savings you are expecting?

Baseline year

  • What fiscal year of data do you want to compare your results to? We will use that year to compare for emission and cost savings

Add sources

In order for the reporting to function you need to add the sources that are going to be impacted by the project to see the cost and emissions impact you have made.

  • Add source: Select existing sources to add them to your reporting

  • Create source: Create a new source to use for this initiative

How "Emissions saved" and "Costs Saved" are calculated

The savings are based on looking at the baseline period costs and emissions, we then divide that annual total by 12 to get a monthly expected value so that you can start to see the savings right away based on the sources that have been selected.

Note: The savings calculations begin after the "end date" of the initiative so check that this is accurate to ensure your reporting is as expected. I.e. after you install that electric heat pump we start calculating the savings.
